The self and its infinite projections
The material world is a mental projection whose materiality lies not in itself but in the self of the observer. The self is projected into temporality by the mind and thus individual and organic life appears. It can be extremely beautiful as long as it is under the control of the self. If it wills, by concentrating on the self in its heart, the living being can free itself from time and inevitably from every pleasant and unpleasant experience. You must know that the experience of pleasure without knowledge of the self at the centre of the organic unity, which corresponds to the heart in the case of the individual being, and to the cell nucleus in the case of the living cell, has its price. The self is not subject to time and space, it is unique and indivisible, only its projections through the mind can be counted, though they tend to be infinite.
